SAMS Academy is a public charter school serving students in grades 6 - 12.
Founded in 2012, SAMS (Southwest Aeronautics, Mathematics and Science) Academy is a free, public STEM charter school located on Albuquerque’s far west side adjacent to Double Eagle II Airport that prepares students in grades 6-12 for college and career in a unique, stimulating atmosphere where innovation and imagination soar!

The SAMS Academy Aviation Program inspires students as they explore many exciting aeronautic careers, such as Air Traffic Control (ATC), Airplane Mechanic (A&P), Drone Pilot, and our unsurpassed Airplane Pilot Program! Can you imagine a student earning their Drone Pilot Certificate and/or Airplane Pilot Certificate before graduating high school?! That can happen – ONLY at SAMS Academy!
